The Makai Room was a bar inside the Mar Vista Bowl in Southern California. The Makai Room was a minimalist type Tiki Bar and often hosted live music. The Makai Room was at first chopped in half to make room for an arcade in the '70s, then disappeared altogether a few years later. The bowling alley remains however today it is a Bowlmore lanes and is most likely decidedly not tiki.
