Joy Hackett Live from the Art Boutiki August 19th (Copy)

The entire Art Boutiki team has been hard at work working on a livestream program that will allow us to get back to what we do best; host musicians on our stage. We have been doing a few secret streams and while we are still in the learning area we decided to open up our presentation for you all to see and to get feedback from.

Sorry, no audiences are allowed.

So, if you can, join us August 19th for Live at the Art Boutiki featuring Joy Hackett. This will be a free show, but you will still need a ticket. You can register by following THIS LINK!

PG&E allowing our patio will be open for outdoor eating this Friday and Saturday. We had no power on Saturday so hopefully things will be a little cooler and we can press on.

One of the things people ask us all the time is how we are doing. Not great is usually the most honest answer I can give. The actual truth is, merch sales and livestreams aside, we can use every single bit of support that you can muster. There are a couple of ways you can help us out. First of course is to buy something from our online store, we are adding stuff all the time.

Secondly, make a direct donation. We can use as much of this as we can, our donation link is above,. You can also make an automatic monthly payment via Patreon, you can go to Patreon by clicking HERE!

Thanks for supporting Art Boutiki

Art Boutiki Music Hall Colors T-Shirt
from $19.95

Way back when we first started doing shirts our designer created an image that had a lot of colors so we could test the capabilities of the printers we were looking at. We made a few to sell and, oddly enough, that weird and colorful design is one of our most asked for items. So we are bringing it back (consider it a retro design if retro means like less than 10 years ago) or a throwback style. Whatever, you call it you can call it yours today!

As with all of our shirts, some shrinkage will occur depending on how you wash it, so consider ordering one size up. Please consult the size chart seen in the images section of this listing.

Never Love A Man Pulp Novel Cover Reproduction Lesbian Love Poster/Card
from $9.95

Let's face it, the ’50s were less than enlightened time, however, this led to seem incredibly tawdry writing where the book jacket copy was often the most sexual part of the publication

Never Love A Man was one of these and while the literary value of these books can be debated, no one can argue that the art on them wasn’t often incredible.

The cover art from Never Love A Man has been touched up and the type was redone to look good at a larger size.

In the meantime enjoy the copy from the back cover.

They were a trio of beautiful women — and they had no need for men.

An early, shattering sex experience turned Carole Rowans fiercely away from men — and into the meshes of lesbian loves. First, it was Helena, rich, stunningly attractive, insidiously tantalizing. Then Francine, in Paris, where eroticism and deviant allure were the fashion of the day. But Francine was already involved with Maria, a magnificently beautiful mulatto, beneath whose glowing bronze beauty lurked dark, amoral, unprincipled passion. Having seduced Francine, she would not give her up to any other woman!

A Novel That Explores The Reasons Why Women Turn From Men To Seek Their Own Kind Of Love

Dick's Dragon Chinese Restaurant San Jose Matchbook T-Shirt
from $19.95

Dick’s Dragon was once billed as the largest Chinese restaurant in the world, and at 20,000 square feet it may well have been. Sitting on Bascom Ave in San Jose for years the building was eventually turned into Zorba The Greek Restaurant. We’re not sure why.

This was sort of a holy grail-like quest for us since I have a recollection of having been in the building as a Chinese restaurant. I also vaguely hearing my dad refer to Dick’s Chinese A-Go-Go as a nightclub so it’s possible the place became a club before turning into Zorba’sI don’t know, I would be happy to hear from anyone who maybe knows for sure.

Redrawn and slightly redesigned by us to look good on a shirt. 100% cotton, please order one size larger.
