Art Boutiki Events UPDATE 3/13/2020

In case you live in a hole somewhere you probably already know that the County is imposing a ban on gatherings of 100 or more in any setting and placing severe restriction on gatherings of 35-100

So, first the good news, the ban does not go into effect until 3/14 at midnight, so tonight’s show with Wally Schnalle’s Iditofish will go on as planned, however, we have cut off advance ticket sales and will limit walkup business to stay within the spirit of the county’s guidance on these kinds of gatherings.

The bad news is that everything scheduled 3/14 and beyond will be canceled or otherwise postponed. Events between 3/14 and 3/25 will be canceled for sure and rescheduled if possible. Events scheduled 3/25 or later will be put on hold pending new directives from the county, so it is possible those later scheduled shows could be re-activated on our schedule if the County changes its ban.

This is unfortunate and out of our control. The restrictions placed on the smaller gatherings were too draconian for us to consider and, even allowing for someone on our staff playing medical cop at the front door I am not 100% sure that our shows would fit into the category of “Essential Community Function”

Another factor is the jerks in the world did such a good job of buying up all the toilet paper, cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer that we will not have enough on hand to sufficiently sterilize every surface here for more than another week.

Thanks, everyone for their kind thoughts and support. Be safe and stay healthy and we will come out on the other side of this thing in good shape.
