Club Babalu was an old-school Los Angeles, CA dinner club, dance club and lounge. And, honestly, that is all we know about it other than it closed a long time ago and had a really killer looking matchbook cover.
The art from this shirt is reproduced from an old matchbook for the venerable club. Painstakingly redrawn by digital artisans, or maybe conjured by elves, this is a faithful and colorful restoration that really needs no context.
Printed in-house on our very own direct-to-garment machine, this image is imprinted using water-based inks on a 100% cotton shirt. Not a screen print, transfer or sublimation, this is a full color design that will hold up longer than the garment it is printed on.
