One of the coolest cats to ever play the piano at Art Boutiki is Bennet Roth Newell and we were Excited to hear that he’s bringing his trio to the legendary Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz to play a tribute to Thelonious Monk

Bennet will be joined by William Johnston Bohrer on bass and Michael Henning on drums. In the traditional jazz piano trio format, they will play Monk’s timeless compositions and feature some of the music from Bennet’s album “It’ll Always Work Out” across 2 sets.
